story of a photographer
ever since i was little, if i went anywhere, i had a disposable camera in my hand. a lot of those photos had a finger in the corner or were completely out of focus, but they’re some of my most treasured memories. even now, more than a decade later, i can look at them and instantly feel what it was like to be there. that’s when I first realized how powerful a photograph can be.
as I grew up, i fell even more in love with imagery, the kind that’s intentional, emotional, and honest. after my grammy passed, she willed me her camera. it meant more to me than I can put into words. it shifted the way I saw life, less like a series of moments, and more like a journey worth documenting. not long after, i bought my first DSLR, and it went everywhere with me. honestly… it still does.
today, i’m deeply passionate about telling love stories through photographs that feel real and full of light. i know being in front of a camera can feel intimidating, so i focus on creating a relaxed, natural environment where you can simply be yourselves. the best images happen when you feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated.
outside of photography, my greatest joy is my family. my incredible wife, Kierra, and our two daughters, Eloise and Eden, are the heart of everything i do. i also serve in the military as a medical readiness NCO, and when i’m not working or photographing a wedding, you’ll probably find me reading, baking with sourdough, or dreaming about visiting every national and state park.
