The story of a photographer

As a young child when I went somewhere it was a certainty that I had a disposable film camera in hand and although many of those early images included a finger or were out of focus they are incredible memories and I can still relive those moments from my early life over a decade later. Over my early adult life, I have fallen even more in love with the photography of the past and present that hold emotion and are intentional in nature My first "Real" camera was willed to me by my grammy after her passing. This really affected my view of life and seeing it more as a journey, shortly after I got my first DSLR. It went everywhere with me and I often am never without my camera even today!

Today I pride myself on my dedication to telling stories through the visual art of photography as well as removing the negative feelings that many have when it comes to having imagery created of yourself by facilitating a natural and comfortable environment.

Outside of photography work to be a good husband and dog dad! Both my amazing wife Kierra and I enjoy watching baking shows, going on car curly fry dates, and playing with our two crazy dogs Tucker and City.

Military Service

Both Kierra and I also currently serve in the North Carolina Army National Guard. I serve as an Army Motor Transport Operator assigned to a gun truck. Kierra serves as a Battalion Religious Affairs Specialist. Although military service comes with a host of difficulties we have both enjoyed it!

Kierra, My Wife

Kierra has been a massive influence on both myself and my work. Not a single gallery goes out that her eyes don't catch a glimpse at and as she loves to remind me, shes always right. She is by far the smartest person I have ever met and is a beautiful example of how if you work hard enough no goal is ever too large. I was overjoyed to make this incredible woman my wife in December of last year and its the smartest thing I've ever done!

The Pups

Tucker and City are as different as can be but both are so full of love. City we found as a graduate of the ASPCA Rehabilitation Center ( Yes she has a diploma ) She is super scared and anxious but when she comes out of her shell it's explosive. Caring for City has been a life lesson in patience and perseverance that has been well worth it. Tucker on the other hand is a wild happy boy. He loves hugs, kisses, and more than anything putting things into his mouth that don't belong there. A favorite at the vets' office Tucker is more than happy to make friends anywhere. Tucker has been a lesson in remaining calm. Both of my pups are frequent flyers as surprise zoom call guests but we wouldn't have it any other way

Testimonials

Brett & Aubrey

“Tristin was absolutely the hardest working person at my daughter's wedding. He was extremely punctual, professional, and extremely understanding. We all felt he went above and beyond to capture every moment. His work ethic was truly a sight to behold. He arrived early on his own suggestion to capture photos of both Bride and Groom preparing for their wedding. The memories he captured speak for themselves. Highly recommend and our family will continue to hire him for our photos.”
